BIG HEADS AND BANNERS

Sounds from The Other City

I developed and delivered the art direction for Sounds from the Other City 2026, with theme being medieval dance alien invasion. This consisted of multiple elements, including four banners, and a giant alien head/costume. One of the banners not pictured here which was also used in the parade, which you can read more about on my participation page

With the banners, I combined medieval lettering with more futuristic colours, fabrics and tassels to tie the two themes together.

The giant alien head was made using withies and wet strength tissue paper, like a lantern, to enable the head to be lit up in the dark to create a

Mystical Mushroom Wizard

This creation is one part of the work I created for End of the Road festival in 2023. Details of the full project can be found on my participation page

Tommy Robot

I created this papier mache robot head for my friend Tom Briggs-Davies to wear on stage with his band Baked A la Ska whilst performing a cover of Intergalatic.

The Adventures of the Goatman

The adventures of the Goatman is an ongoing project, documented by pixilation animation. The project can be viewed on my animation page

The Goatman is characterised by a Papier-mâché wearable head.

‘Why don’t you trip’

I was commissioned to create two masks themed around monsters to be used in a music video for single by Alien x Donny Storm. I made sure details were present on multiple sides of the masks so that something was going on no matter which angle they were shot from.

Small Banners

I created a range of smaller banners using felt and fabric to experiment with placement and techniques.
